Thesmophoria
"Take back the narrative!" In early June this year, 9 women theatre-makers got together to begin creating Thesmophoria - a reworked modern, feminist adaptation of Aristophanes comedy from 411 BC. The show was rehearsed 100% outdoors due to covid-19, and was a roaring success at the preview on 4th July in Prinzessinnengarten Neukölln. The piece then toured through Berlin's parks and gardens in July and August reaching over 900 audience members - taking theatre back to the roots!

You-Me-Human-Tree
A community theatre project co-created by humans and trees of all different ages, backgrounds and abilities. It is a celebration of interspecies storytelling that crosses time and space. The project began in early 2020 with the simple question: if trees could talk what would they say? As a community ensemble we went on a journey; together we met the oldest tree in Berlin, shared tree memories, discussed plant evolution with a scientist, meditated, imagined, drew on mythologies and created our performance. The process then went online and then on hold due to covid-19. Finally from 2nd - 10th October the performance premiered to a sold-out audience at English Theatre Berlin | International Performing Arts Center.
